Louvered Hot Tub Wall Spa Enclosure
Install a hot tub outside your home, and you’re just steps away from the ultimate luxury add-on for your space. Treat yourself to a plunge before work in the morning, and both your metabolism and your stiff joints will thank you. Opt for a mid-day plunge and relax sore muscles after a workout. Or, invite friends over for a dip after dark, and unwind from a long day with your favorite beverage in hand.
Remember that to use your hot tub year-round and for as long as possible, it’s important to protect it. The solution? A hot tub wall.
Louvered Hot Tub Wall
Privacy, Climate Control, Style That Stands Out and More!
A hot tub wall solves a variety of problems at once, including:
Privacy
A hot tub privacy fence around your outdoor spa will let you lie back and relax, far away from prying eyes. And it’s not just the neighbours on the sides and back of your property that you’ll block out. A louvered roof or pergola cover over top will you shield you from higher buildings. You’ll still be able to stare up at the stars, with no one looking down at you.
Your hot tub enclosure can also become part of a bigger patio privacy fence project. By adding a hot tub wall around your jacuzzi, kids can play on your deck and still stay safe. A set of louvered front doors or a high louvered gate will keep the hot tub off-limits.
Climate Control
Want to use your hot tub even on windy days? A louvered hot tub privacy fence allows you to close the louvers for a serene soak, no matter how much the wind howls, and candles will stay lit.
Open the louvers for light, as well as a beautiful breeze. If your hot tub enclosure includes a louvered roof, you’ll stay shaded no matter how hard the sun beats down; and if the rain or snow starts to fall, you’ll stay dry while you get ready to head back inside.
Protection From the Elements and Dirt
It’s not just you and your guests who will be protected from the sun’s UV rays, rain, hail or snow – but also your spa cabinets and cover, seating areas, tub, fixtures and even that standup bar you install alongside! And because leaves, dirt and other debris won’t blow into it, the water will stay cleaner.
Style That Stands Out
Surround your outdoor oasis with a louvered hot tub wall, and you’ll automatically increase the value of your home and property. Let your spa become a focal point for the entire backyard by creating a stone pathway leading to it, adding trees or shrubs next to your hot tub enclosure or hanging strings of lights that make a statement.
Deciding on the Dimensions for Your Hot Tub Privacy Fence
The number of sections and dimensions of your hot tub privacy fence will depend on the size of your tub, and the type of outdoor area you want to create.

Choosing the Materials for Your Hot Tub Enclosure
Once you’ve decided on the dimensions of your privacy fencing, you’ll need to consider the type of wood you want to use for the posts and louver slats.
Your hot tub wall will naturally be exposed to more humidity, so cedar and redwood are great candidates, as they’re rot- and insect-resistant and tend not to warp.
If you’re thinking of using pressure-treated lumber, it’s imperative to ensure the wood is COMPLETELY dry, or it could warp. NOTE: It can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months for the wood to fully dry and stabilize.
No matter which sealant, stain or paint you choose, most brands recommend you re-apply products every two to three years for maximum effectiveness. To further extend the lifespan of your wood, be sure to clean off any bird droppings, dirt, mold or mildew.
FLEXfence Louver System hardware kits are only available in black since it has the best UV protection properties. If you want to paint the hardware to match your designs, make sure you use a plastic-compatible paint.
